ABSTRACT
Although he is a less well-known figure of the Hungarian Jesuit missionaries, he is one of the most important in his work. Today in Peru he is considered one of the most important scientific figures of the 18th century due to his scientific work as an architect and royal cosmographer. However, it is a forgotten fact that he worked as a missionary for a long time in the tropical Moxos. Here, a short fraction of his letter contains a lot of information that provides an image of the present - unknown customs of the Movima ethnic group from pre-columbian times. The importance of this information is particularly significant in the light of the fact that the original ethnographical description of the Movimas does not exist today, so the information of the fragment in mapping the identity and history of the group is invaluable.
